Smart Express is a web application for printing courier tickets. Whilst the end result is simple enough, this was a huge project involving multiple key workflows, complex business rules plus a good degree of flexibility to accommodate evolving functionality.
I looked after the interface and interaction design plus initial usability research. This included site visits to the offices and warehouses where the application will be used, a big focus on keyboard navigation plus a system of inline ‘advanced editing’ features to limit page-refreshes and provide a more seamless user experience.
